Colors:
“Light” is the main word in coming Spring/Summer 2007 season. It may be found in perfect purity of white fabrics and shade play in coloured as well. Even scarlet red has light golden shine. Bright colours get lighter and fill everything with its soft and fresh light.
- The feeling of simplicity is based on the fine play of pure colours and pastel tints and their shades. The silhouette is shown with the combination of silver tone and light traces of sepia.
- The fabric reflects all the variety of sky tints. Making the fabric older the designers demonstrate its facture peculiarities, nuance play and its high quality.
- The colours become bright, rich when the feelings burst forth. They engross our attention with all possible lush and passionate shades of red.
- The green colour which took up all the range of turquoise, water-colour and pastel tints is seemed to be closed to nature. Pink, coral and yellow touches look joyous and alluring on such verdure tone. The combination of natural and artificial colours gives the sense of sun warmth.
Fabrics:
- As a rule, pure cotton or cotton with combination of polyamide or polyether threads is taken for the first point. The choice in choosing the composition depends on the designers who want to show the facture peculiarities and fabric surface. The texture is naturally simple. The prevalent fabrics are fabrics for blouses, such as pique and poplin. The light romantic style is achieved with laces, knitted elements, as well as gauze, satin and delicate muslin. Looking back in the 1940’s, the years of manly and unexceptionable elegance, we can’t imagine that period without woolen fabrics, such as gabardine, tick and double crepe. The pure wool assumes an additional grace with viscose, polyether and polyamide threads.Linen is on the top again. It looks solid and naturally. Its natural facture is filled up with pastoral scenes of printed fabrics, decorative simple drawings, flower ornaments or geometric patterns.
- All the well-known fabrics look newly, as the designers thoroughly choose the processing methods and use all the ways of decolouration, bleach and oiling. The new factures appear due to the technologies of washing with pigment in the combination with napping, cut and burn effects.
Fabrics with stripes are popular again. How beautiful the Indonesian jacquard is! It retrospects the high quality colonial manufactures, “Aumbre” stripes, illusory graphic drawings as well.
- Striped and patch-work factures, flower motives on the tulle and thin wool yarn and dense “gypsy” taffeta, decorated with embroidery and beads are added to the fine silk, chiffon and satin, to the alternation of shine and plain surfaces, to the contrast of jacquard and lace.
- Bright fabrics with natural in combination with synthetic fibers get more popular. But these fabrics seem to be natural to the touch. The choice variety is wide: plain tricot and mat fabric, which is made of thick and thin threads interweaving. Among them are also gauze, poplin, Indian cotton and linen with stripes; multicoloured stripes and checks with embroidery and stitches; glance, gummed, metallized materials, that imitate water surface or reflection of dragonfly’s wings; streamy cobweb materials and thin woolen fabric; stamping designs with exotic flowers and tropical plants.
Fall/Winter 2006/2007
Fabrics:
- Black colour dominates in the fabrics. Trendy colours are cult dark tones and neutral tones, all spectrum of grey, black & white, green, violet, lilac, dark red colours. Dense fulled fabrics, diagonal designs, one-coloured fabrics with stitch effect and all the kinds of flannel become fashionable.
Tricot:
- The combination of art and nature, restraint and elegance, art deco designs on the plain tricot are on the top.
North designs and ornament are popular in the casual fashion.
The romantic tendencies may be seen in cobweb tricot with lace and flounce.
